CALL FOR APPLICATIONS FOR MATCHING GRANTS-ACTESA
The Alliance for Commodity Trade in Eastern and Southern Africa (ACTESA) serves as the secretariat for the COMESA-EAC Horticulture Accelerator (CEHA), overseeing its initiation and implementation since July 2023. CEHA is dedicated to accelerating the growth of fruit and vegetable (F&V) sub-sectors in the COMESA and EAC regions. Currently, CEHA is being implemented in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Ethiopia, and Rwanda, with a focus on the priority value chains of onions, avocados, and Irish potatoes.
Considering the above, ACTESA, through CEHA, wishes to invite agribusinesses in Rwanda, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania and Ethiopia to apply for Matching Grants designed to accelerate the growth and sustainability of horticultural value chains. This aligns with the CEHA Matching Grants Facility Implementation and Award Modality (MG FIAM), which aims to support innovative agribusiness projects within the avocado, onion, and Irish potato value chains. The initiative focuses on enhancing the growth of Agri-enterprises that contribute to improved farming household incomes, rural economic development, and gender equity through strengthened horticultural value chains across the region.
The detailed call for Applications can be accessed on the COMESA website using the following link: https://www.comesa.int/applications-for-matching-grants-under-the-ceha-program.
Applications should be sent to: [email protected] and [email protected].
Deadline: 14th February 2025, 17:00 EAT
