RNEC AND GBP SIGN AGREEMENT TO FACILITATE BULK PETROLEUM IMPORTS

Today, 03 July 2026, the Rwanda National Energy Company (RNEC) and Gulf Bulk Petroleum Tanzania Limited (GBP) signed an agreement to facilitate the importation and storage of bulk refined petroleum products through the Port of Tanga in Tanzania.

Following the agreements signed with Kenya to facilitate petroleum imports, this partnership marks another important milestone in the Government of Rwanda's strategy to utilize both the northern and central corridors, working with regional partners.

RNEC plays a central role in strengthening the country's energy security through strategic petroleum procurement, supply management, and investment in petroleum infrastructure.
