 Recruitment of 4 craft industry Secretariat staffs  

VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

The Ministry of Trade and Industry wishes to establish craft industry secretariat to facilitate in the implementation of craft industry strategic plan. It is in this context that the Ministry intends to recruit four (4) qualified and experienced candidates for the following posts:

1. Coordinator of craft industry secretariat 2. Marketing manager in craft industry secretariat 3. Product designer in craft industry secretariat 4. Accountant in craft industry secretariat

The information regarding the above posts is detailed in the terms of references. The interested candidates should collect them from the central secretariat of the Ministry of Trade and Industry or consult Ministry’s website: www.minicom.gov.rw. The pre-selection of candidates will be based on their qualifications and experience as mentioned here below.

Post 1: Coordinator

The Coordinator should have a Master’s degree in economics or related fields including project management with 2 years of experience. Applications of candidates with Bachelor’s degree will be accepted under the conditions of having at least 5 years experience in the field. He/she should have a good knowledge of the functioning of the craft Sector. He/she should be fluent either in French or English and able to work in the other language. He/she should have sufficient computer skills, be free and immediately available to start the job as soon as the candidate is favorably confirmed for the job and able to perform frequent field visits.

Post 2: Marketing Manager

The marketing manager must be a holder of a Master’s degree in marketing or related fields with 2 years of experience. Applications of candidates with Bachelor’s degree will be accepted under the conditions of having at least 5 years experience in the field. He/she should have a good knowledge of the functioning of the craft sector and links between production and market. He/she should have knowledge on domestic and international markets for the sector. He/she should be fluent either in French or English and able to work in the other language and have sufficient computer skills. He/she should be free and immediately available to start the job as soon as the candidate is favorably confirmed for the job and able to perform frequent field visits.

Post 3: Product designer

The designer should have an university degree in Art work or relevant field with 2 years experience in designs and product development. He/she should have an experience and passion in working with local communities. He/she should be fluent either in French or English and able to work in the other language and have sufficient computer skills. He/she should be free and immediately available to start the job as soon as the candidate is favorably confirmed for the job. Be able to perform frequent field visits.

Post 4: Accountant

The accountant should have at least A’ level Certificate in Accountancy (A2) with a minimum working experience of 2 years. He/she should have knowledge of general accounting and good knowledge of Microsoft and in particular accounting and office-related computerizing. He/she should demonstrated experience of secretariat and accountancy code of conduct. He/she should be smart, polite and have unquestionable moral honesty. He/she should have capacity to write administrative and financial reports. He/she should have a perfect command of Kinyarwanda, French and / or English, the knowledge of the three languages will be an added advantage.
