MINICOM signs Cooperation agreement with Savings Banks Foundation for International Cooperation

Kigali, Thursday, 1 October 2020: This Cooperation agreement with Savings Banks Foundation for International Cooperation is concerning the implementation of vocational and commercial education for Microfinance sector and rural development through institution strengthening of the microfinance sector projects, where the Ministry of Trade and Industry was represented by Permanent Secretary Michel M. Sebera.

The development cooperation between the Republic of Rwanda and the Federal Republic of Germany is based on the Convention between the two countries from 22nd November 1979 (“Accord de cooperation technique entre le gouvernement de la République féderale de l’Allemagne et le gouvernement de la République Rwandaise”), stating the common intentions of the parties towards the development of the country, and the framework conditions of such cooperation.

MINICOM and SBFIC agreed on implementing the following two partnership projects financed by the German Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development:

Vocational and Commercial Education for the Microfinance Sector, and Rural Development through Institution Strengthening of the Microfinance Sector.
